QUACKGRASS
Unfortunately there's not too many ways around this. Use Roundup for a total kill of the weed area. The ideal time is August 1st through August 15th. Then you can reseed from August 25th through September 20th to grow the area with new grass. Or you can also spot sod if you can't stand the sight of a dead area.

TALL FESCUE
Note: Toby has found a new product called Corsair. It's not available online or in the area yet... but soon will be. We'll let you know when and where you can buy it. Corsair is very expensive, but goes a very long way. You can spray it on tall fescue and it doesn't hurt the grass around it.

If you can't wait you'll have to follow the instructions above for Nimblewill.

NUTGRASS (YELLOW NUTSEDGE)
Use Sedge Hammer (formerly Manage) and Spreader Sticker. Apply in June, July, or September. Spray only nutgrass plants when actively growing. If you can't find Sedge Hammer locally, we found a garden center online that was reasonably priced and sent it to us on time:
